Azuka Theatre will be doing a reading of my play THE DEATH AND LIFE OF UNCLE GENE as a part of their 2014 Spotlight Series Festival. The reading will be held on Thursday, January 16th at 7PM at the Off-Broad Street Theatre (1636 Sansom Street). Here is a quick blurb about the play:
The McTammeny family has gathered to mourn the untimely and surprisingly sudden passing of everyone’s favorite uncle: Gene. As the ceremony is set to begin Larry and Albert, two outcast cousins, retreat from the funeral and come up with a plan to ease everyone’s pain while turning themselves into unlikely heroes.
